Brake pads, tires, engine oil, air filter, spark plugs, etc., are core wear parts that must be replaced regularly to ensure driving safety and vehicle performance.
Based on vehicle usage and manufacturer recommendations, the following are common automotive parts that require regular replacement and their replacement intervals:
Engine Oil & Oil Filter
Replacement Interval: Mineral oil every 5000km or 6 months, semi-synthetic oil every 8000km or 8 months, fully synthetic oil every 10000km or 1 year. Its function is to lubricate internal engine parts and prevent wear. Failure to replace it regularly will lead to increased carbon buildup and reduced power.
Air Filter
Replacement Interval: Every 20,000km or annually. The interval should be shortened in dusty environments. It filters the air entering the engine, preventing dust from damaging the cylinder block. Clogging will affect combustion efficiency.
Cabin Cabin Air Filter
Replacement Interval: Every 15,000 to 20,000km or annually. It maintains air quality inside the vehicle. Activated carbon filters can absorb PM2.5, pollen, and harmful gases.
Brake Pads
Inspection Interval: Check the thickness every 20,000km. If it is less than 3mm, it must be replaced. Replace brake pads: Severely worn brake pads will increase braking distance and may even damage the brake discs, endangering safety.
Brake fluid
Replacement interval: Every 40,000 km or 3 years. In humid southern regions, it is recommended to replace it 20,000 km earlier. Brake fluid absorbs water, lowering its boiling point and making it prone to vapor lock at high temperatures, affecting braking response.
Spark plugs
Replacement interval: Ordinary nickel alloy every 30,000 km, platinum approximately 60,000 km, iridium up to 80,000-100,000 km. Aging can lead to poor ignition, difficulty starting, and increased fuel consumption.
Tires
Replacement interval: Every 60,000-80,000 km or after 6 years of use, even if the tread is not completely worn down. Rubber will naturally age, and cracks or bulges can cause tire blowouts, especially dangerous at high speeds.
Tire timing belt
Replacement interval: Generally mandatory replacement at 80,000-100,000 km. If it breaks, it may cause the valves to collide with the pistons, resulting in serious engine damage and extremely high repair costs.
