The Reliable Torque Interface for Heavy Loads
We manufacture internal spline driveshaft flanges. Taizhou Liuhuan Machinery designs these as one-piece components that combine an internal spline bore with a high-strength flange plate.
They are typically used at the output end of large gearboxes, heavy-duty reducers, and marine propulsion systems. Their function is to transmit high torque while enabling quick and precise connection with external spline shafts.
The value is straightforward: maximum torque transmission in a compact design with precise alignment. In heavy machinery, this component serves as a reliable "torque interface."
Forging and Heat Treatment: Uniform Strength Inside and Out
To withstand extreme torque and shock loads, we use high-quality alloy forged steels such as 20CrMnTi, 20CrMoH, and 42CrMo. Forging ensures a dense and continuous internal grain structure, free from defects.
We apply deep carburizing to the internal spline teeth. The effective hardened layer depth (CHD) can reach 0.8–1.5 mm, while the surface hardness reaches HRC 58–62. The core hardness is maintained at HRC 35–40 to ensure good toughness.
This combination provides excellent resistance to bending, shear, and compressive stresses.

Precision Alignment for Smooth Power Flow
The machining accuracy of the internal spline directly affects the smoothness of torque transmission. We use large-scale precision broaching machines or CNC gear shaping equipment to ensure compliance with high precision grades under DIN 5480 or ANSI B92.1 standards.
At the same time, we strictly control the perpendicularity between the flange face and the spline bore center, typically achieving less than 0.05 mm per Φ300 mm.
We also tightly control the position of the bolt hole pitch circle, ensuring even load distribution during assembly, eliminating additional bending stress, and achieving a precise fit with the mating surface.
Full Inspection for Every Flange
Before delivery, every internal spline driveshaft flange undergoes thorough inspection. We use coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify critical dimensions and positions.
Spline go/no-go gauges and comprehensive gauges are used for full inspection, while a gear measurement center is used to analyze spline tooth profiles and lead accuracy.
