Some operating conditions are the natural enemies of ordinary bushings: high speed, heavy load, shock, and environments where lubrication is frequently inadequate. In such places, once the bushing fails first, the shaft and bearing suffer along with it-a single day of downtime means a full day of lost production. Our Carburized precision bushing is specifically prepared for these extreme conditions, relying on meticulous attention to material and heat treatment.
The core process is deep carburizing. Using low-carbon alloy steel such as 20CrMnTi, carbon is diffused in a controlled atmosphere to an effective case depth of 0.8–2.0mm, with surface hardness at HRC 58–62 while the core remains strong and tough-hard outside, tough inside, resisting both wear and impact. Carburizing is most prone to distortion, so we strictly control process parameters. After heat treatment, high-rigidity internal/external cylindrical grinders perform finish grinding, with dimensional tolerances stabilized at ±0.005mm, roundness and cylindricity within 0.003mm, and surface ground to Ra0.4μm or even lower. A Carburized precision bushing ground this way has precise mating surfaces on both inner bore and outer diameter-fits right the first time, no rework needed. Carburized precision bushings are commonly used in construction machinery slewing bearings, wind turbine gearboxes, metallurgical equipment, and mining machinery-places with long overhaul cycles and high reliability requirements. Every piece goes through full-process quality control. We can provide case depth, hardness gradient, and metallographic structure inspection reports, and third-party inspection is accepted.
