Splined Flange Coupling

Many customers previously used split-type key-connected flanges. Over time, the keyway loosens and alignment drifts-every maintenance period requires disassembling the whole set and re-fitting, wasting both time and money. Our Splined flange coupling integrates the internal spline bore and flange disc into one piece, eliminating the intermediate sleeve, key, and a pile of fasteners. Once installed, it is a precise spline engagement-torque transmits steadily, alignment is accurate, and crucially, both assembly and disassembly are convenient without re-alignment every time.

For a Splined flange coupling, the greatest test is the precision of the spline and the perpendicularity of the flange face. We machine internal splines per DIN 5480 and ISO 4156 standards, with tooth side precision at 6H/7H. Perpendicularity between the flange face and the spline bore center is controlled within 0.05mm (within Φ300). Bolt holes and locating spigots are also machined to spec-the whole assembly fits precisely, force is evenly distributed, and no additional bending moment is generated. Material is 20CrMnTi or 42CrMo, with teeth carburized and quenched to HRC 58–62-hard on the outside, tough at the core. Splined flange couplings are widely used at the output ends of heavy-duty reducers, marine propulsion, and construction machinery, offering high torque density and accurate positioning. Every piece undergoes full inspection before shipping, with spline tooth profile and lead reports provided, and key dimensions rechecked on a CMM. We have been making these in Yuhuan for over a decade, under IATF 16949, with supply history to Volvo and Ford. The flange body can also undergo overall dynamic balancing for more stable rotation at high speeds. Send us drawings or samples; sampling takes 15–20 working days, and small batches are accepted.

Operating under IATF 16949: incoming material inspection, in-process patrol inspection, and 100% final inspection before shipment. Spline tooth profile and lead inspection reports provided, key dimensions CMM-rechecked. Third-party inspection accepted.
